I tried to install some drivers to the hard drive, but it said "No drives found." HELP ME PLZ ANY SOLUTION PLEASE HELP ME AND I DON'T CARE IF IT RESULTS IN BUYING A NEW HARD DRIVE Anyways, other than the hard drive, I can't even format it! Also when I put in the hard drive, it says "Enter HDD/SSD Password" Maybe is the hard drive corrupt........... HELP ME I AM SICK OF WINDOWS 10 I NEED WINDOWS 8.1 LOL THAT IS WHY I ASKED FOR WINDOWS 8 THEME FOR WINDOWBLINDS When I type in bootrec fixmbr bootrec fixboot It says The operation was completed successfully. I know, I am not a F at English, but that is a good sign. Is it a hard drive problem or WAT IS IT? OH MY GOD I AM SO SICK OF USING WINDOWS 10 FOR 3 YEARS ALREADY, I NEED 8 8 8! I don't know, but I am trying to buy a new SSD because I just realised some idiot assigned a password on the SSD that idiot. I think his/her initials are FB or ZA. I tried to remove the password. Also this is a mighty story, but when I booted up my (old) computer, I managed to guess the BIOS Setup password and then lol i removed it. After I did some reasearch, here is what happened, the hard drive is CORRUPT. Oh, I am really going to kill that person who did it! I can't go shopping for a new one (SSD) until the COVID-19 crisis ends..... There were some of my old animations on it, and then It's password protected, oh, I feel like im going to cry... Yeah, that animation LIEALLY TOOK ME 1 YEAR 2 YEARS. I AM GOING TO KILL ZA NOW! He was Japanese, thinking he can pick on a Chinese...... P.S. WINDOWS 8 RULES P.P.S. Get an USB SATA drive Adapter, and plug the SSD in to a different computer and see if it can read the files. Windows 8.1 is still getting security updates until Jan 10th, 2023. Actually, in my BIOS it said it was a HDD/SDD password (i need to stop spelling password wrong) If thats the case, does that mean the password applies TO ALL THE SSD'S I CONNECT TO MY COMPUTER?!?!?! If that is the case, I am going to KILL MYSELF. Plus, I am already getting sick of windows 10, so I really want to GET WINDOWS 8. My new computer doesn't support Windows 8, so put a stop to THAT idea. WINDOWS 8 RULES Yes, the hard drive MUST be corrupt, because it can't clean itself. Got the other way.... delivery Plus: My new computer can't read it, it says no media, and no wonder its so light compared to my new one in my new laptop. Probably ZA broke the hard drive phyically... For example, if you have a Samsung 860 EVO SSD, try searching on "Samsung 860 EVO password reset" or "Samsung 860 EVO secure erase". cooky560 Veteran Posted May 26, 2020 Veteran Share Posted May 26, 2020 Many computers have the option to secure erase the HDD from the BIOS. On my motherboard this is in tools -> secure erase from the UEFI BIOS. This pretty much resets the SSD to factory condition so it should remove the password.
