WindowBlinds 7: Beta 3

Recommended Posts

I just want to be able to change the in focus window style so that it is the same as the out of focus window style. can windowblinds do that?

With a custom skin it could be done. It's basically just making the styles the same.

Got a question for you Island Dog.. not sure if it's a skin issue or WB7 issue. I've noticed this happening in a few skins now, when you change the transparency on the taskbar it doesn't change the tray area, it stays solid. So it looks REALLY off when the taskbar is transparent but the tray is not. Is it a bug? Is the tray not able to be transparent in win7?

i can answer that. The trayicon is the same as the startbutton. You can skin it, but it NEEDS to be there else you can't open the trayicon settings.

I'm pretty sure you didn't understand the question...lol But thanks anyway.

When you change transparency for the taskbar in WB7, it does not change the transparency for the tray area, that stays solid, which is a problem because it makes the skin look bad.

Resize the taskbar. That made it all transparent for me.

  • 3 weeks later...

Still haven't fixed close button on toolwindows. With the "non captioned window edge" on vista you're nearly there (1px white border is gone, thank you). Just need to add transparency and blur. It doesn't play too nicely with apps that have windows without captions (go to the task manager in Vista and double click on the background, you'll see what I mean)

and please release a beta of sks7, coding the extra bits in wb7 skins ain't easy.

And it would be nice if the start button faded in and out when I mouse over/out (on ALL OS's, or at least vista and 7). Same with the caption buttons :D
