Take a look in your Task Manager under the Processes tab, then click the Mem Usage title so it sorts by that. Scroll down to the bottom and you might find firefox.exe at the end using the most.

For me its using 22,856 K [approx, always changing around there] and thats the highest?

Is it just me or Firefox uses up your memory the most?

[just so you know i am a firefox supporter and i'm not trying to say firefox sucks.]

I believe Firefox automatic config its memory usage by looking at the amount of the available memory in each system. On my main system with 1GB ram, Firefox use around 68MB for 5 Tabs open, but on my old Laptop with 128MB, Firefox use only 10MB for the same 5 Tabs open.

At first I'm also worry about the memory usage of Firefox, but then I think I have over 1GB of ram... why I need to worry about only 70MB. It's such a waste of resource if I don't use them.... don't you think so?

i just checked mine and it was at 172MB with only 3 tabs open. I minimized it, went down to 5MB but usage still went up (got leakage?); maximized it and popped back up to 20MB (and still rising 4K every few seconds). I hit the restore (button between min and max) and RAM usage jumped up from 24 to 35, hit it again and it jumped to 45.

it's crazy! I'm using version 0.9.3

actually, you know it's weird... I just closed winamp and the memory creep slowed down a bit. i had clicked on a shoutcast link a few hours ago to listen to some online music. i think it's odd how firefox RAM usage goes up if I use it to start winamp.
