tkyoshi
You can also replace the NT Boot Loader on 2000 with the XP/2003 one. You know the "Starting Windows..." part, when replaced i don't even see the bar anymore on my computer (just like XP) and the Windows 2000 screen comes up right away. sailorsonic
Okie i did it and it does help speeding up to boot. after some looking on the web i was able to do it. it does help. it does boot faster than it did before, as in getting to the logo faster. the two files I replaced are ntdetect.com and ntldr I replaced the files in safe mode just to be safe. might work in normal mode no idea. try it out :) Link to comment https://www.neowin.net/forum/topic/305221-how-to-speeed-up-on-w2k-for-boot/#findComment-585766733 Share on other sites
