+Woodbridge Subscriber² Posted September 13, 2005 Subscriber² Share Posted September 13, 2005 A draggable corner stripe that displays the current system date. Download: http://woodbridge.wincustomize.com/ViewSki...ID=578&LibID=34 I had some spare time to mess around with one of my other widgets (album art) and get wound up because it wasn't doing what I asked it to do (Id10T error I'd wager) so I thought of other things to do. I've visited a couple of web sites in the past that have added a diagonal stripe to their pages in support of various things using CSS formating (an example http://www.w3junkies.com/toocool/join.php). I thought they look very cool on a web site, not quite the same effect on a Desktop, but hey :) Right click to get to the properties, from there you can change: * Choice of Skin * Date Format * Separator Symbol * Custom Font * Font Size, Bold, Itallic Attributes * Show Week Numbers * Use US Week numbering method (Default method: International Standard ISO 8601 Week Numbering) I'm not sure if I covered all the different date formats there are, so if I missed one, or you want one added (DD-MM-YY etc) then let me know. I guess I can make other Corner Stripe widgets, but I'd like to get my other unfinished widgets out of the way first, feel free to step in a make your own versions though. I've included the .psd file used to make the stripe should you wish to add your own skins. **Update** 12 September 2005 + Added 4 more skins for a total of 6 skins + Moved the custom preference off the right-click menu and on to a separate left-click menu. + Added Corner Choice, Font Colour, Taskbar Ignore to the new preference window (more room there now) - Removed the default shadow setting for Skin1, use right-click -> Properties to set a shadow. Needs to be set for each skin. * For Multi-Monitor support make sure you check 'Ignore Taskbar when Positioning'. I've not been able to test it but this should get the widget to move accross multiple screens, but only for the 4 outer corners of your screen size. ============ Single Left-Click to access the widget properties Right-Click->Properties to access the Font properties + standard DX properties (shadows, hue changes and desktop level) Multi-Monitor support is probably a bit iffy...
