Moeman
Are the shadows in NFS: Most Wanted ugly for you guys, or it is just me? I have attached a screenshot. 586834560 Haha my G FX5200 has nicer shadows :pI believe that a lot of people with ATI?s cards are having a issue with the shadows. But I?m not sure if it?s all there cards or a certain line that are having the problem. EDIT// oops! I retract the first thing I said it doesn?t let me use shadows but the big black spot under my car made me think:blush:  Edited November 21, 2005 by Moeman
joeydoo
I have this problem, 9800pro also. Runs really well though, very playable @ 1280x1024 max everything in menu's (including AA). Does the shadow glitch effect performance, will I find the game doesn't run this well after the glitch is fixed? The shadows are very scappy. NienorGT
Grow up. 586834588 What's your problem? I have an ATi card and all is at max (Setted also in profile in ATI Tray Tools and I use OMEGA Drivers) and I see some glitch in shadows by myself
adiaga
Hi, I have the same problem on a x600 but I have seen the game on a x700 and the shadows look good. Dont know why.
Sethos
Grow up. 586834588 LOL, well arn't you just a cute one! But really, the problem IS the ATi cards and the games.
nomis_nehc
from what i have read over at rage, it's a case with the drivers. try different versions, see if any one of it fixes it.
AJerman
Hmm... everything max? I noticed my menus moved a little slower and less fluid when I turned up my textures so I haven't even tried running the game at full. I have an x800 Pro though, so from everyone's experience that runs the game fine at all full? I'll have to try that when I go back to my room in a little while. I'm x64 also, wonder what affects that has on performance in this game.
Elliot B.
Hopefully the Catalyst 5.12/13 drivers will fix the problem.

Elliot B.
EA + ATi = Bad shadows. 586834854 You'd have thought they'd have squashed such obvious bugs :| I mean, all new games should work with ATI and NVIDIA cards, considering they 'own' the majority of the gaming market. idioot
You'd have thought they'd have squashed such obvious bugs :| 586834857 When has EA ever done that
Raa
ATI  <---- Actually, that is part of the issue, there was another thread about many ATI cards not rendering shadows correctly... Dont know if it's always been like that or not though Perhaps a driver fix is coming up?
Lingwo
Its not ATI i don't think. My shadows look crappy, not as obvious crappy but they do my head in. I'm running XFX 7800GTX running 1280x1024 full settings and full AA.
LiGhTfast
i got the same on my 9800pro, all graphics on full too. to say this card is pretty old now and only cost ?50 i can't complain about the performance:))
Xerxes
I got a 9550 and the shadows look horrid too...can anyone with a Nvidia card show a screeny of how the shadows should look please? I'm curious to know

forster
7800 GT, all AA and graphics settings at max, and the shadows still show some corruption. Just because it sucks less with nVidia, doesnt mean it doesnt still suck.
Inertia
2 x 6800u in SLI here with everything set to max, shadows look perfect to me.
