IGN UT2007 Coverage - redef -

5/8/06 17:55 PST - General UT2007 News

IGN has exploded with E3 coverage, kicking it off with an extensive interview with Mark Reign and Jeff Morris regarding UT2007. The interview contains a plethora of new information including basics such as weapons, game modes, and vehicles; but also more advanced topics such as design intentions, the role of physics, and more. Here?s a tidbit from the interview:

IGN: What are you guys hoping to bring to the series that UT fans haven't seen before?

Jeff Morris: [Laughs] OK, well basically what we wanted to do was look back at the entire range of the franchise and see what people's favorite things were and then innovate on top of those. So generally we talk about the mobility changes and grounding people in the levels and that's something that's sort of a hybrid between the original UT and 2004. At the same time Onslaught, which was introduced in 2K4, was our big vehicle based game type and we're adding a whole new roster of vehicles this time around. And so when you work with franchises you want to make sure that everyone who liked the previous products are coming along for this ride but at the same time appeal to people who maybe missed the boat the last time around.

Also be sure to check out the nine new, and incredibly stunning, screenshots that IGN is providing. One of the screenshots can be seen below.

Hehe, funny how he answers the question of what's never been seen before by saying that they're bringing together parts players have seen before. :p

Here's the actual interview by the way:

Anyway, I wonder what system you'll need to run this smoothly at 1280x1024+.

    • DriversCloud 12.1.6 by Razvan Serea With DriversCloud (formerly My-Config.com), you can explore your computer easily, safely and free. The application quickly scans your PC and identifies the hardware and software components. DriversCloud then establishes a list of the different drivers compatible with your OS and hardware. Download the drivers needed for the proper functioning of your computer. To detect your drivers, DriversCloud also displays a detailed summary of your hardware and software configuration, analyzes your BSOD, monitors in real-time your PC voltages and temperatures and lets you share your configuration online. Once the hardware components have been detected, you will be able to obtain with just a few clicks the latest drivers corresponding to the identified hardware. You can record your configuration on the site for free, and can get the corresponding URL to post the configuration to technical forums, e-mail and social networks. You can also download the detection result (the configuration) as a PDF file. To protect the user's privacy and data confidentiality, a 4-level confidentiality system was created that filters the XML marks and gives control to the user. The default level can be modified in the preferences. Using the maximum level will prevent the user from publishing his configuration and generating a corresponding PDF file. In non-connected mode, each XML configuration is stored on the server for one day (for practical reasons). However, you are given the opportunity to manually delete it. Created in 2004, and continually improved, My-Config.com has established itself on the web as a free service to PC users running Windows and Linux operating systems. The service is designed to work with the most common Internet browsers (Edge, Firefox, Chrome, Safari).
