Hey everyone, First of all thanks for making a great program like autopatcher! A irl told me about it a few days ago.. And it all looks great.

I just have a tiny problem after I installed all possible updates/addons.

On my windows welcome screen I suddenly get a error: Genuine you may be a victom of software counterfeiting.

Could anyone please tell me, How can I delete this message?

Buy a copy of Windows. If you did legitimately buy your copy, then contact Microsoft and they'll most probably give you a valid, legal, copy in return for information on who sold you the dodgy copy.

If yours is dodgy because you knowingly pirated, then we cannot help you, piracy is against Neowin's rules.

I can understand your choice not to spend high amount of money for some thing that does not cost a cent and so stupidly protected by one of the most monopolic companies in the world - M$.

Well seems I can't give you a direct link on the solution of your problem HERE - but just try <snip>nor can you give the solution itself</snip>. There are some good and clever men who understand that it is stupid to support this monopolic money-making and these man update this patch every time mister Billy <snip/> makes some new protection things.

GL! :)

I've had a couple of legit copies of windows XP pro have this issue and we just kept rebootign and choosing get legit and doing other things like downloading something from microsoft, which of course requires validation and going to windows updates, one mahcine cleared up in 2 reboots and the other 3

@ghcasper, the message appears due to you having installed the Windows Genuine Advantage Notifications Tool. Next time don't just check everything (except critical, noncritical, and most components), pick through the addons/tweaks/wga stuff.

thats just about as much help as we can give you.
