1st step

Download Tango Patcher and install it.

2st step

Download and install Uxtheme Patcher, now you can apply a visual style.

3rd step

Download HmmXP Mod by Sparkle and just apply it.

Now our windows looks much better. :) Anyway lets go to the next step.

4th step

The next step lies in downloading The Icon Packager, Tango theme and Tango .Ico's

I hope you know what to do with those icons.

5th step

Let's make everything in one style - "Tango".

Themes for our main programs:

Tango Icons for Firefox

Tango Icons for Firefox -- Mozilla Firefox theme #2

Tango Icons for Thunderbird

Projects using Tango styled icons:

OpenOffice.org

GIMP

Scribus

Pidgin

WMWare workstation 6

MusicCube

Using Resource Hacker, you can edit icons in systray.

Helpful!

But why would anyone need step 4 after using the Tango Patcher in step 1?

There are bunch of programs that use tango style. The look and feel is better if you have most of the apps with same them. Check deviant art for more stuff, also my profile there: 8666

I think you are a little behind. The last post was from 2007. Please don't resurrect old threads.
