Bond 22 : Quantum of Solace

According to a report from JamesBond-fr.com, production designer Peter Lamont briefly discussed the current Bond 22 situation while attending the Valenciennes Festival du Film in France?which was holding a tribute to Pinewood Studios from 13-18 March.

At the moment, pre-production on the next official James Bond 007 film is definitely in the beginning stages. Producers Michael G. Wilson and Barbara Broccoli have held several meetings with writers Neal Purvis and Robert Wade?most likely to brainstorm ideas for the Bond 22 script.

Lamont also agreed with what has been reported in the past regarding Bond 22, it will indeed be a direct continuation of the events started in Casino Royale.

Bond 22 is set for release on 7 November 2008.

I think I also read a romour that the story could be similar to, or based on the same story as For Your Eyes Only.

Edit: Correction: It might be based on a short story included in For Your Eyes Only.

I read before it involves Vesper Lynd's Boyfirned. At the end of Royale, she was revealed that she was involved in the plot because her boyfriend was being held hostage. Apparently the boyfriend is supposed to be the villain for the next one.

I can't wait... Casino Royale was by far the best Bond movie I've ever seen, and I can't see anybody else but Daniel Craig as Bond anymore. He was absolutely perfect for the role.

How can the bf be a villain if he was a hostage in the first? Unless there's a twist to the story.

Casino Royale was a good movie, but I thought the script suffered more than the directing or acting (which were both superb). It just seemed to fall flat on its face and not offer much action that we've come to know and love from Bond.

Craig is a much better actor. Connery could not have pulled off that torture scene like craig did. Best Bond IMHO.

Casino Royale was ok, but I wish it had not only more "toys" but also more car chase sections. After all these are some of Bond movie trademarks. :p

I loved Casino Royale...so much different than other Bond movies. I thought it was a darker movie all in all.
