Microsoft plays down Live Anywhere

"Don't wait for the day when Live Anywhere goes from being off to on," says Phil Spencer.

General manager of Microsoft Game Studios, Phil Spencer, has played down the importance of Live Anywhere.

Phil Spencer addressed the issue of Live Anywhere in our interview, when talking about Shadowrun and the future of Live Anywhere.

"Don't wait for the day when Live Anywhere goes from being off to on," he says. "This is a vision that we set forward and it included those sort of connective experiences and I think were delivering that, we're delivering that in steps, and you see the examples.

The specifics of cross platform gaming is something that we still look at. Shadowrun was interesting step for us. I think we did some goods things there, I think we left some good things not done there but in no way are we turned away from the idea."

I remember not too long ago Live Anywhere came up in discussion on the forums and if it was still going ahead. Looks like it is but they are taking their sweet ass time about it :p
