Technique
I'm a new iPod user, so i'm still getting to grips as there seems to be a bit more to owning an iPod than a standard mp3 player First question - album art How do you get this on your iPod when playing tracks, or can it only be done if you BUY something from itunes? I've ripped a few CDs (legit CDs btw) to the iPod which play fine, but there's no album art there when playing on my iPod I've just bought my first track off iTunes & the album art shows when the track is playing (and also in the list of tracks too). I'd like as much album art as i can get in there. How is it done? Second question - CD burning All tracks on my iPod bar one currently come from CD's. The track i've just paid for on iTunes, is it ONLY playable through my iPod, or can i somehow extract it to my HDD so i can then burn onto CD to play in the car for example? (if not, then that is a bit of a scam if you're buying countless albums & your iPod then breaks!!) crazzyyfool
1. Does the album art display in iTunes for your CD-ripped tracks? If not, you need to get iTunes to download the album art. Go to Advanced > Get Album Artwork. Then re-sync with your iPod. 2. You need to create a Playlist of the chosen CD. Just drag-n-drop the CD name into the left sidebar. Select it, then click Burn Disc in the bottom right of the iTunes window. Technique
ahh thanks Not tried burning to disc yet, but i see the option. Did the get album artwork & it's done it for some albums. Can't find it for others though which is a bit cack. I thought it'd be able to import off the CD or something as when you rip the album to a folder in WinXP, the album cover is automatically on the folder when viewing large thumbnails. crazzyyfool
If iTunes doesn't find the artwork. You can always manually google search the cover. Copy the image then select all the tracks for the album in iTunes and paste. That method also works.
