In a few weeks' time, Apple will officially launch iOS 9, along with a range of new devices showcasing its most advanced mobile OS to date. The latest iPhones, an iPad refresh and an all-new Apple TV box are expected at the launch event, which is reportedly lined up for September 9.
Indeed, Apple hasn't even sent out the press invites for the event - but we now know when its new iPhones will go on sale. German publication Macerkopf reports that it has received confirmation from two of the country's top mobile carriers that Apple's newest handsets will be available in stores on September 18.
As TechRadar notes, that date is the second Friday after the announcement - assuming the September 9 date is accurate - which would line up precisely with the company's rollouts in previous years. And since Germany is always among the first countries to get new Apple hardware, it seems likely that the new iPhones - and perhaps the other devices that the company will announce - will also go on sale in other major markets on the same date.
The iPhone 6s and 6s Plus are expected to look much the same as the current models, but with some welcome hardware upgrades, including a new display with 'Force Touch' pressure sensitivity.
Not much is known about Apple's plans for the iPad - and not everyone is convinced that new models will be unveiled next week - but much has been revealed already about the new Apple TV box. It will include vastly improved specs, along with a new dedicated branch of the App Store, an all-new user experience built on iOS 9, and a redesigned remote with integrated touchpad.
