The geforce2 MX (like the Geforce4 MX) are only DirectX 7 video cards...so ur outta luck...upgrade ur card tho, a Geforce3 isn't too expensive and neither are the low-end Geforce4 Ti 4200 cards.

Well according to their site, there wont be any more features than GTA 3, other than ofcourse the new universe. But i really hope they get some modding tools out.

Would you guys say, chances are it will run the same as the original GTAIII for PC? GTAIII runs fine on my machine... PIII 800, 512MB 133 Ram GeForce4 Mx 440 ...As far as the DirectX9 Compatible card... maybe they mean just compatible with the DirectX9 MS install.... *scratch head*. Because I know I have the DirectX9 binaries installed, but my card isn't a directX9 card. Are they already starting to draw the line at true DX9 cards? If this is the same as the original (as far as graphics go) I don't understand why they would do that.

I have a PIII 600E, GF3 ti200, but an archaic monitor that can't do anything higher than 800x600 at an acceptable refresh rate so I should be all set.

GTA3 ran great on my machine. People who have 4 year old hardware cannot expect ANY new game to run well on their system, and frankly, it shouldn't. I'd rather have a game taking advantage of new hardware to give a better gaming experience, rather than looking like games did 4 years ago, just so people with 4 year old hardware can play. As for the DirectX 9 requirement, just like any other game that's ever required any version of DirectX, they're talking about a software install. No game, to my knowledge, has ever required a specific version of DirectX on the video card hardware. Now that my rant is out of the way, I'm really looking forward to this game, GTA3 on the PC was a superb port of the console version. I've played Vice City a fair bit on the console, and if they do as good a job of porting it as they did with GTA3, it will be a great game. One thing I'm wondering about is the auto aim. It's really useful on the console, as it's impossible to aim with those retarded little thumbsticks (so please. stop even trying to make console FPS games). People used to aiming with a mouse though should have little use for this feature, so I wonder if it will be included in the port.

It’s so cheap because there is nothing new on the table, nothing has been really added, and it’s a straight port from the ps2. If it had a good multiplayer the game would rule but as of yet Rock* have largely ignored this. Don’t get me wrong this game rules if you haven’t got it on ps2 its worth £24.99 of anyone’s money. I only wish they focus on the platform that started it all. Looks like its down to individual programers once again :disappoin
