Yeah...

*wannahave*

I've always thought id-software would be pronounced like i-d-software... Didn't think of id pronounced as one word... Well...

no its "id" as im the human subconscience...or since I wanted to be precise I looked it up on webster.com and they said ID was:

In Freudian theory, the division of the psyche that is totally unconscious and serves as the source of instinctual impulses and demands for immediate satisfaction of primitive needs.

Are you serious? I would never in a million years thought it was i-d

Just because you didn't, doesn't mean others wouldn't.

It was widely regarded by many people to be I-D software and they had to clarify it years back because so many people didn't know.

I had to try to explain to pretty much every one of my friends that it was "id" not "i-d". I found out for certain when I ordered a doom t-shirt via phone years ago.

Great video.

It seems they did make a mistake, though. There's a part of the video where they show you the Doom 1/2 monsters and then morph into the Doom 3 (same) monster. They show a Cacodemon, then a Pinky Demon, but then when they show you an Imp, the Doom 3 counterpart looks more like the Arch Vile. I haven't seen the full game, obviously, but when I first saw that last monster (in Doom 3) I assumed it was the Arch Vile, not an Imp.
