There is a new movie trailer for World of Warcraft: the Burning Crusade to illustrate the 3D fantasy MMORPG expansion pack that is nearing completion at Blizzard. This very high resolution movie provides the full introduction to the add-on's backstory in two and a half minutes of enticing cinematic footage.

Several years have passed since the Burning Legion's defeat at Mount Hyjal and the races of Azeroth have continued to rebuild their once shattered lives. With renewed strength, the heroes of the Horde and Alliance have begun to explore new lands and broken through the Dark Portal to investigate the realms beyond the known world. Will these heroes find friends or foes? What dangers and rewards lie in wait beyond the Dark Portal? And what will they do when they discover that the demons they thought vanquished have returned to renew their terrible Burning Crusade?

The cinematics are just amazing. I'm an addict. They could halt production on all other games and let wow ride collecting well enough to support their company.

Too late they already announced making a movie!

I would hope they will have enough sense to get some real talent to make it though.

They have the story lines their to make some excellent movies and I think with blizzards small cinematic team they have proven game stories with movies arent mutually exclusive.

Diablo II cinematics were quite spectacular for their time, and that in itself could make quite a descent movie. Excellent good versus evil story, room for some amazing effects and intense battles etc, id pay to see that rather then the endless barage of sequels or remakes im presented with these days.

WC universe would be harder to create a descent story foundation for, you would practically have to start any movie from WC III onwards, and their was no consistent characters etc before that, in any case room for plenty of action battles, excellent effects etc.

God, I love Warcraft games and cinematics. The opening cinematic for WoW is still amazing to me, and this new one is just as great! I can't wait for Burning Crusade.

I agree, the cinematic was pretty cool and getting me more excited for the upcoming expansion. Wish I had more time to play computer games period. Any how if you guys like the cinematics and the concept of a movie you should look into the books that have come out with all of Blizzards games. There is at least 4 for Diablo, 4 for Starcraft, 3 for Warcraft and a whole trilogy for World of Warcraft set 10,000 year ago.

So you were that dude walking around finance with a calculator!

Either that or some guy taking guesses about marketing MMOs.
