EA (Electronic Arts) seems to be following a trend after the surprising rise of the Nintendo Wii gaming console. In the past month, they've released no less than 3 Wii titles: "SSX Blur," "The Godfather: Blackhand Edition," and "Tiger Woods PGA Tour 07". After what many considered the disaster that was known as the Nintendo Gamecube, many developers shifted their development to the more popular Xbox and Playstation 2 consoles. Now, with the rise of the Wii, EA has even created Wii development teams to make new Wii games. It looks like us Wii owners are going to be getting some good games soon.

"EA" and "good games" in the same article?? Typo?

EA only knows how to make sequels and ports.

How about they cleanup Battlefield 2 to have better physics and not take up 1GB of RAM. HL2 has way better graphics and awesome physics and only takes up 330 MBs.

1) HL2 definitely eats more than 330MB of RAM, depending on a multitude of factors.
2) BF2 was programmed by DICE, these Wii development teams aren't connected in ANY way and DICE is still free to patch and EA can still have them do so.

Wow, that took all of 45 mins to start bashing EA...

Believe it or not, EA is actually making some really good games for the Wii. They are definately the first 3rd party developer to take advantage of the remote and nunchuk, and do it well. I'll admit there's a learning curve with the controls for some games, but that's to be expected, we're not button smashing anymore.

SSX Blur is flat out a great game, cool controls, great visuals, fun game play. I've heard nothing but good things about The Godfather, picture GTA but instead of hitting a button to rough someone up, you swing the controller instead.

I think EA is captializing on something that too many developers are over looking: 4 million consoles worldwide.

If they keep pumping out great games, I'm gonna keep buying them, regardless of who makes it.

^ Listen to that man. ^

Last year EA executives made a commitment to changing their image in the industry (a bad one, obviously). Late last year they saw the Wii as a possible way to do that. If they keep doing what they did with Madden, Godfather, and SSX they definitely have a shot.
