The PS3 has become PAL’s fastest ever selling console, shifting 1 million units since its launch in March 10 weeks ago. This beats records previously held by the Playstation and PS2 and probably represents the importance of a better games line-up to launch consoles in.
As far as first-party software goes in PAL territories, Sony also confirmed to GameSpot that Resistance: Fall of Man was the top seller so far, having shifted some 600,000 units, and MotorStorm is revving in second place with a total of approximately 500,000 sales.
In April it was announced that the console had reached the 800,000 milestone, with CEO Howard Stringer commenting, "We came into the [European market] with more games, and perhaps we lived up to the expectations in Europe in a way that perhaps we didn't in Japan."

That one always cracks me up, they shipped 220,000 units and sold 75% (wow, that's a nice round number, lol) in the 1,000's of shops in the UK yet no one could find a single shop that had sold out of them.
You've gotta hand it to Sony, their marketing and logistics department must be the best in the world!
Sony have shifted 1 million consoles, we can see them sitting on the shelves in all the stores.
Whats that got to do with anything?
This news post is about Sony, Sony like to boast about shipped figures rather than actual units sold.
Do you not like the truth?

If this is the truth, then I no longer trust the truth because it decieves people

Please note: These date back to May 11th and I cannot confirm the validity of them, but they seem accurate enough.
Anyhow, Europe is one big PAL region and this doesn't include Australia or the other little PAL regions dotted around the world. With nearly half a million Wii's being sold in the UK alone, I definitely wouldn't consider this articles findings to be any more than PR spin from Sony.
But, none the less, if these are actually SOLD PS3's (and not just shipped PS3's) then at least Sony isn't doing too horribly. But at the end of the day, the real results will come around Christmas time when the novelty aspect of the Wii has worn off and when all 3 consoles have a decent games lineup.
I'm still betting the PS3 will come in last.
I both got a wii and PS3 in my room !!
among tones of my friends owns both wii and ps3
but honestly speaking, Wii's game were fun when you play with a groups of people,

You should stop playing games soo much and take a break to learn what you're talking about.
"xbox-360 (which gotta fade out soon)"
You're actually being serious. That small comment alone shows that you have no clue what you're talking about. From the way you post I'd say you're no older than 14.
Why? this is one of the greatest places to work. we have our own soccer field, two basketball courts, fitness centers, free massages, discounts everywhere (including outside EA), great pay and other benefits, and games as far as the eye can see

Don't bother replying man, it's not worth it. You don't need to explain yourself. Just remember the person on the other end is saying that over the internet from behind the safety of a monitor.

Quality > quantity, bud.
The PS3 is a flop people. Some of you need to realize the truth in that and live with it. I'm no 360 or Wii fabnboy either so don't try starting any arguments that I am. It's just getting old seeing Sony trying anything they can to make the PS3 look better than it really is.
DVD, a 3% increase in market share over last year, according to NPD
Group, which measures the home entertainment market. But revenues from
DVDs account for less than 2% of Wal-Mart's sales -- meaning Hollywood
needs Wal-Mart a lot more than Wal-Mart needs Hollywood."
"While many people have strong opinions of Wal-Mart, there is little
doubt of its retail power. Approximately 40% of all DVDs sold are sold
through Wal-Mart."
Also, I believe that Sony has released their first BR player under $500 which is now the cheapest BR player.
Matter of fact, Funai, their main OEM supplier, announced that they will be shipping Blu-ray players to Walmart under several different brands in Q4 this year.
Walmart also recently announced new aggressive moves into Consumer Electronics, citing new SONY product lines.
Plus, there's that new article in the Main News.
