Next year looks rather boring for the 360 and PC, except for Spore :/

huh?
GTA, fallout, fable, too human, rainbow six vegas two, possibly gears of war 2.
The only reason it may seem bland, is because 360 gamers were spoilt in 2007

Only one of those isn't a shooter. Where's the variety?

Maybe some of us don't care for most of the other genres. But the same can be said about shooters for some as well.

GTA isn't a full shooter though. It's third person with many missions that lie outside of shooting people.

Fallout a shooter? Sure, there's an option for it, but if you're going to play it THAT way, where's the fun? Not a full shooter either if you ask me. I think Fallout, I think RPG.

Fable 2 - How this game doesn't appeal is insane in all honesty.

GTA, Fallout 3, Fable, and Too Human aren't shooters.

Blizzard are not like other companies. They don't have deadlines, they release their games when they are done.

Episode 3 doesnt appear on that and would have though Valve would put that out Q3/4 08
#4.1 PureLegend on 27 Jan 2008 - 20:01
Good point, actually. Seeing as it's the end of the current story arc you would've thought they'd at least mention it :/

How many games (listed on this top10) are just a overhyped crap? or are a remake (second, third, fourth version or release but in the deep they are the same sh#ht).

Usually the best games of the year show many surprises, for example bioshock.
#5.1 Mungabba on 27 Jan 2008 - 19:28
Or Mass Effect!

They're probably not going to write about something they know nothing/hardly anything about unless the franchise is well known. Guitar Hero IV and Guitar Hero DS are both on the list and we know absolutely nothing about either!

I haven't read a whole lot about it, but Prototype looks kinda cool.

Gran Turismo 5 Prologue
MLB 08 The Show
LittleBigPlanet

Brawl. Brawl. Brawl. Brawl. Brawl. Brawl.

Couldn't believe MGS4 was #10 on PS3. If anything, that'd be one of the reasons I'd BUY a PS3 ffs...

On the PC front I'd say Spore, Far Cry 2, Fallout 3 and Duke Nukem Forever
On 360 I'm waiting for GTA4, Fable 2 and Lost Odyssey
#11 randomnut on 28 Jan 2008 - 16:14
Grrr, and I was hopeing Mass Effect 2 would be out in '08

Wow, I'm officially depressed, now. If these are the most anticipated titles, I don't anticipate buying many games in 2008. It looks like more of the SOS dominated by shooters. It looks like the only rays of light are Little Big Planet and Spore. Aside from Burnout Paradise, Twilight Princess, Ratchet & Clank Future, and to a lesser extent, Mario Galaxy, I've had far more fun playing the downloadable mini games than the big-budget disc games.
Here's to hoping we'll continue to get a good flow of unique, fun games on the downloadble side.

How come no mention of BF3 for PC?
