- After the rootkit fiasco, people still buy Sony products?

- Neowin needs a dead horse smiley like some other boards.
Just how many people were affected by this so-called "fiasco"?
Were *you* affected?
So the independent actions of BMG records make Sony electronics or Sony Computer Entertainment responsible?
Did you boycott the Spider-Man films? Sony Pictures produced those, and they apparently made no money because people were upset about the rootkit thing...

- With a big chunk of that revenue being from SecureROM, straight out of EA's pocket.

- I still don't know anyone with a PS3.
LOTS of Wiis and Xbox 360s, and PS2s, though... -

- PS3 is aimed at the adult gamer.
I know plenty of PS3 owners...
...And they have kids with the systems you mention. -

LMAO! The stupidity of this argument never gets old.
I have adult friends, and we have Wiis! In my experience, the friends of mine that do have PS3s, dont have PS3s, but rather own Blu ray players!

I am a brainwashed "gamer" who knows nothing about video games, but jumped on the "cool" bandwagon so I could game in HD, so I bought a PS3, but then realised its only being used for HD movies, then I got frustrated, came online and posted crap about other consoles, to justify my buyers guilt, at having paid through my nose for a console, that surprisingly, didnt make me cool...

Really? That would explain a lot.
As someone who's been gaming since the pre-Atari VCS days (the Atari "Breakout" multigame) I've lived through hula-hoops, roller-rinks, Cabbage Patch Dolls, Tickle Me Elmo so I know a *fad* when I see one.
So you may want to age a bit to get some perspective and then we can talk. -

Don't make me laugh.
