Sorry, Sony. The Xbox 360 is finally going to get a blockbuster RPG. Square has announced at the Microsoft press conference that Final Fantasy XIII is going to be released on Xbox 360 the same day as PS3 in North America and Europe. What a huge coup for Microsoft, and what a great piece of news for Xbox 360 owners who also happen to be great console RPG lovers.

Umm, ok. I wouldn't exactly call this big news. The last FF game I played, FFXI, was boring as hell!

XI was an MMO, really different.

Ah, fair enough. I'll let that one slide then.

I didn't seem to like FFVII, though, and everyone says that one is the best one. I found it boring again. When it comes to RPGs, I prefer action ones, like Mass Effect and Oblivion, not turn-based ones.

I feel an R.E.M song coming on. Everyone together now...

"Its the end of the world as we know it..."

Well, this is a shock I bet to all the die-hard Playstation fans who swore to god time and again that we'd never ever see FF13 on the 360 (maybe a future FF but not 13!.

Oh well, just shows that Square-enix, like the others in the industry, are going more multiplatform to boost overall profits.

More money for them and more money for you since you don't have to buy both platform when there's no exclusivity

Please let this be the beginning of the end of most platform exclusives. If a developer wants to develop for only one system, that's fine, but when companies purchase exclusive rights to titles it sucks for the consumer.

This is HUGE news. While anyone that is not a FF fan might not realize it, FF is THE RPG and was going to be my excuse to finally get a PS3, might have to wait now and just build a HTPC for blue ray instead.

THANK GOD! I thought I was going to have to buy a PS3 to play it. (Not that I dislike PS3, I just don't have the money)
