Last year's LG G5 was seen as a major misstep by many, despite the handset's unique feature in the form of its modular "Friends" system. LG has been cautiously revealing details about its handset over the past month, offering little tidbits of information, but it appears the curtain has been pulled early to give us our first glimpse of the upcoming G6.
While we won't get a full unveiling today, the folks at The Verge have obtained an image of what the G6 will look like when it is released next month. The image only shows the top half of the phone giving us a good look at the 5.7-inch QHD+ display. In addition to the screen, the device looks to be constructed from metal this go around, steering clear of the plastic construction from its past. LG has also inferred that its next handset will be waterproof.
LG is expected to announce its next flagship at Mobile World Congress in Barcelona on February 26. The firm also intends to beat Samsung to market by offering the handset a couple weeks after the announcement.
