Windows Update Beta is in the middle of a little beta project, and we would really appreciate if all of you could be involved. Simply put it, we need your help.

The following two packages are being released to v4beta site:
  • “Q329553: Critical Update (Windows 2000) - Beta Express Package”
  • “811493: Security Update (Windows 2000) - Beta Express Package”.

The target system for these two packages is Windows 2000 + SP2 and/or SP3 only. For those not running Windows 2000 or running Windows 2000 SP4, please disregard this mail. We need at least 500 installs outside the US and 3000 installs in the US. We can achieve this if all testers participate. Please try the process a few times on same or different machines, if possible.

The duration of this beta is today until June 6, 2003; however, we really need heavy-hits on these express packages within the next week; and continuous testing will be greatly appreciated.

    Thank you very much!
