Microsoft is about to roll out a free presales support option for its army of partners.

The presales support line is in pilot now and will be rolled out in phases. It is slated to be fully available to the 30,000 certified partners in August, Microsoft executives told CRN.

The support is available in China now and will roll out in Europe over the next six months, said Allison Watson, vice president of worldwide Partner sales and marketing at Redmond, Wash.-based Microsoft.

Inbound and outbound support will be offered. "We are slipstreaming presales support into the program," Watson said, noting that this is on the top of the partners' wish list for 2004.
