Thanks to Larney for the heads up

The core of this release is built on the Windows Server 2003 SP1 platform and adds optionally-installable components that our customers have requested. This beta will all incorporate a number of key features that are of interest to customers who want to take advantage of new technologies available in the next release of Microsoft Windows Server 2003

I don't know if they'll still take nominations, the newsgroups and most of the betaplace site is already up

What do you mean? All I see is "Coming Soon--the Microsoft® Windows Server™ 2003 "R2" Beta! "

i'm saying a lot of testers were already accepted. signing up at this point might be futile if they aren't accepting any more applications

Didn't Microsoft specifically say to not give out the guest IDs, which is why they started making variations in the spelling?

Seems like there was a misunderstanding there, they're all the same - they just seemed randomly generated.

"This beta will all incorporate a number of key features that are of interest to customers who want to take advantage of new technologies available in the next release of Microsoft Windows Server 2003"

Haha, that's a whole lot of words to say the obvious for any software release.

Irony. I've got an invite for it in the mailbox, but didn't see it until I've signed up using the ID in this newspost. Tells me about Win2k3 SP1, though I never was in there.

DigitalDJ, yeah lol...now its me apparently

Gosh, I hope it really works and I get in.

It says its scheduled for Release October 2005, which only proves that the beta for Longhorn will be further up than expected. Paul Thurrott said February 2005 which nothing but guessing.

longhorn beta is until May 2005.. and there is still a longhron server beta also next year which is until at less around fall.
