I prefered MSN Messenger - Live has been nothing but trouble..

I agree, I stupidly upgraded to 8.0 and now I wish I hadn't.

I don't like Live either... It never wants to sign on. MSN Messenger signed me in automatically when I turned on my computer, and now with Live, even with all the settings set to auto sign on, it still gives me the "can't connect, Troubleshoot" page 50% of the time... *sigh*.

To balance things out, i installed 8.0 FINAL with no problems at all till now. I'm gland it works well and the new functions are neat, like shared folders.

I'm still pending here, and thanks to my host's server packing in all DNS data on my domain is not working as it should, meaning all emails are going missing. I hope it doesn't affect it.

Still pending, but I've heard it breaks MessengerPlus!

Changes?

I think what's happend is that there are 2 ways to get into this beta.

On my connect I've got "Pending Windows Live Messenger 8.1 Beta" and then under it "Active Windows Live Messenger 8.1 Beta".

The people who signed up via connect look to all still be pending but the people who got an e-mail inviting them to it are all able to download it.
