yes.
the NFO lies.
i won't bother to explain.

Fine, then don't bother, because the info clearly states its an Enterprise version, which even on the official Microsoft.com website, it says it doesn't need to be activated as it's a volume license.
just as i thought....
the NFO lies.
i won't bother to explain.
I have a couple VLKs from 2 Select 6 agreements, they don't need activation at all, there's nothing to explain :p
As opposed to Windows, which still do that to confirm the VLK's aren't pirated.
It *is* possible something changed though, but Office was "special" in this sense before.
Edit: Microsoft seem to back up that Office 2007 hasn't changed and the Enterprise edition won't need activation:
Volume Activation 1.0 is the first generation of Volume License Keys (VLKs). These keys bypass product activation. The 2007 Microsoft Office system will continue to use product keys that bypass product activation.

Its so sleek...gonna give Open office run for its money...I mean source
Neither does mine. Anybody know how long something like Vista, for example, would show up on MSDNAA?
The beta's for Visual Studio were on MSDNAA fairly soon after they were available on MSDN, so Vista should be fairly quick (or i hope so, because i really want to give it a go as my primary OS)

Alright, thanks.
Actually, on my MSDNAA, all the more expensive Office products are there (the standalones) like InfoPath, Project, maybe FrontPage, etc, but not the actual primary CD itself.
Thanks. So I'm going to wait for the italian one.

French Spanish and Italian are on the Volume Licensing site, so it shouldn't be long before they are on MSDN/Technet

That's good. When will the retail version hit the shelves?
Yeah, well that's what you get for using Microsoft's MSDN servers.
Can't remember if Office 2007 has this now.
Edit: Ignore me. I was trying to mount it as I did with the rest of the Office suite. Didn't even notice it was an exe

where I can find comparaison chart for windows vista?
I know it's not an official Microsoft page, but this should help.
On a separate note, I'm quite impressed with Office 2007. It will require many people to re-learn how to do things, but in the end I think people will find it so much cleaner and easier to use.
Oh, wait. My bad, there's another line for Outlook with the Business Contact Manager.
devHead
Outlook could not create the work file. Check the temp environment available
It happens when I open up Outlook and check on any e-mail incoming message plus when I start up Word same think Word could not, etc. No problem with Publisher. Oh yeah and I can't seem to insert pictures in Word as well. Insert, find my pictures, select one, get the error can't find the picture to open.
So damn confused!
For this reason MSDN is focused for a business that can paid it and for mvp
free laborers of msthat have it for free.Last edited by Sniper101 on 13 Nov 2006 - 09:32
I can't believe the would not attempt to fix this before the final release.
The again, we aren't English partners so it's possible the VLK version along with the localized one will appear when these are ready. That is, they'll give us our localized Retail + VLK edition when these are done, and never the English VL version. Which isn't a problem for me really as we use the localized ones here anyway. It'd just be nice to check out early.
Edit: Theres a x64bit folder in the ISO image

I called yesterday "bandwidth sunday" ....lol, because it was crazy on the irc network and torrent sites.
I am running Vista rtm 32 bit now and will format and try the 64 bit rtm out in a little while.
So far Vista is looking great. I just wish MS would offer the option to purchase a valid key now instead of waiting for Jan 30. I don't understand why they are making retail wait.
The Save As PDF is great once you download and install that converter.
In Word 2007:
Orb (top left corner) --> Save As --> It should say something like "get add-ins" or something like that. There will be a link in the Help file that loads up that takes you to the Microsoft page to download the PDF/XPS add-in.
Then sunday afternoon I notied the ratio of seeds to leaches starting to even out a little more.
I still say that if MS knocked down the price a bit, they wouldn't have near the problem with piracy.
Thanks
You can't install Office 2007 Final if you already have Expression Web Designer installed. You have to first uninstall Expression Web Design, but the really cute thing is that Expression Web Designer won't uninstall correctly. Soooo I have to re-download and reinstall Expression Web Designer just so that I can uninstall it. I thought that was cute.
Oh, and on my home PC, I had to reinstall MS Office Beta 2 before it would let me uninstall it, again what a pain in the ass.
Other than that, Office 2007 Final has been great.

get windows install cleanup from MS
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/290301
(right click the installer and "run as administrator" if on vista or it wont install)
use it to clean all the MUI office (beta) installers, there'll be on for access, excel, word etc and a few more.
do the same for Expression.
now you should be able to install/reinstall without problem.

Thank you
The final looks incredible... the group did an AMAZING job.
I got office 2003 installed right now, when i run the setup of office 2007 it says
"Setup cannot continue cos a required file is either missing or curropt"
How to fix this
Using our company's MSDN subscription, I downloaded a copy of Visio 2007 (Office is incoming). I installed using the key provided in our MSDN listing (which apparently is also the key for Project?). After installation, I was prompted to activate. Here's where I get nervous...
Can this be installed and activated on multiple computers? If so, is there a limit to the number of computers that can be activated?
I'm at a new company and I've never been given access to an MSDN subscription before. My old place just used unlicensed software (or pirated software on really good days). I don't want to be the numbnut that biffs the subscription somehow, and I'm not really smart enough to read Microsoft's licensing language. Believe me, I tried.
So...help, please?
Thanks in advance.
You can only get it if you actually buy the boxed version not the digital version. If you want you can give me your email adress and i can send a personal torrent the allows you to download business contact manager from me. Me email adress is masterkadison@live.com.au
Guys this is what is confusing me...I say this matrix of offerings on MS's website, but when I download the Office Professional 2007 version off my MSDN account or a torrent site the Business Contact Manager is no where to be found. It's even listed as being included in the MSDN download, I'm stumped, any idea's?
try the windows installer cleanup util and check for any programs you thought you'd removed, especially anything office related.
otherwise uninstall any previous office, and clean up after it using the post I made earlier as a guide, then try.
ps sorry for the double post
