We came across the DENY T1 at a small booth on our way out of the conference yesterday. It is a small (2.7" touch screen TFT-LCD) digital media player that packs a decent punch. It supports mobile TV, text, images, FM radio, recording voice and radio, MP4, WMV9, DivX, and most common audio files. It claims 5 hours of video playback, and 15 hours of audio playback using a Li-Polymer battery. The models come in 1GB, 2GB and 4GB.

We had a short hands on, and it seemed like a nice product. The touchscreen worked well, they had a decent basic menu driven system that resembles many media PC interfaces, and the video playback looked smooth. The stylus doubles as a stand, though barely touching it caused the unit to fall over. Overall, the size and quality was impressive.

DENY is a Korean based company who are hoping to bring this product to the market here. We didn't get a price estimate if it made it, but it looks like it would be a nice addition

But do we really want a media player that says DENY on it in big letters?

Well, people want products with fruits on them, so why not words too?

Yes, but "deny"? lol It makes it sound as if you will be denied use of it.

I think the name "deny" means small or tiny.

It's an old english slang word and in this case, deny doesn't mean 'refuse' or to 'reject'.

The alternate meaning of deny would suit as it is pretty darn small!

deny is pronounced - d-ea-nie.
