As of today, Facebook, one of the most popular web sites linking family and friends together, is now linking people together even more with Facebook connect and Digg joining up. The partnership allows friends and family on your Facebook page to see what you have 'dugg' on digg.com.The two very popular services allows greater interaction between each other to let your friends know in your stream what others are digging and sharing. The service needs to be activated via digg.com by visiting this page to get started. A few clicks will activate the service and instantly allow any stories you Digg to show up in your stream on Facebook.
Users can enable or disable the service at any time by visiting digg.com and turning off certain features via the settings panel.

Digg started as more of a technology oriented site, but now it's more of a (generally) left-leaning political site where much of the links are so biased you can't sort the truth from the lies. Back in the summer of '07 I used to stay on the site for hours a day ... now you won't see me on it but may 30 minutes a year. Great idea, but it just attracted the wrong crowds. If I wanted to see politically motivated news, I'd go to a blog. If going to a tech news site, I expect to see nothing but good tech news and interesting articles ...

On Facebook, go to your Profile, then click Settings on your Wall. You can then import sites such as Digg, YouTube, Last.fm, Flickr, etc. and it posts updates such as favourites (YouTube) or articles (Digg).
Only different is that it is in text "Chris has dugg _______ on Digg" rather than the fancy stuff it has now.
It wasn't a third party application, it was in the core settings of Facebook, but the feed story it created was no-where near as informative as it is now and the Facebook Connect platform was never actually integrated into the Digg website.
I think that definately warrants a new article! Thanks for the write-up Andrew - I haven't seen this reported anywhere else and I wouldn't have known about it otherwise.
