Reports indicate that YouTube was swamped yesterday by an abundance of pornography.A large group of users began uploading seemingly innocent clips, many with kid-friendly tags such as "Jonas Brothers" and "Hannah Montana". The clips however, while possessing 30 seconds of normal content at the beginning, were predominantly explicit.
The attack is being dubbed the "Porn Day" attack by the culprits, users of the website "4chan".
Google has said that it is aware of the attacks, are is taking the appropriate action. Unfortunately, thumbnails may remain on the website for up to a week while Google removes the offending material.
The attack comes at a time where Google is already being sued by Viacom for not doing enough regarding copyright content. This occurrence may direct attention to Google, with regard to child safety on the web.

Which is something they are legally required to do. Videos made for featuring specific songs are pretty freaking cheeky, and they do not come under fair use.
The act proposes the bigger message is the Internet does not the access control granularity required to administer realtime content monitoring. It's something that the MPAA, RIAA, and other copyright holders need to accept reality and find a suitable middleground with content providers, else the net plunges into the dark ages of a multimedia absent era.

Easy, just convert to 100% saturation and count the amount of skin shown. Find the face, and if the face is a small amount of the skin area, flag as porn.

I seldom browse through YouTube videos, though I'm pretty sure it isn't 'stuffed' with porn, at most you will find moderate nude stuff.

What I find funny is when two guys are kissing it is marked as 'objectionable' and needing an age check, and yet when the same thing is done between a guy and a girl - nothing happens.
