McAfee Antivirus Updates June 9, 2004

Yesterday McAfee released an update (DAT file) for its VirusScan software. To ensure that your PC is protected from the latest viruses make sure you apply this update now using the automatic update feature.

The update can be applied to any of these VirusScan versions:
  • VirusScan 3.x and 4.x
  • VirusScan 5.x
  • VirusScan 6.x and 7.x
  • SuperDAT for VirusScan 6.x and 7.x

we might be able to do a more simple update section in the main menu of software news.

No offense taken, and I'm not trying to start a flame war here. The antivirus update idea was first approved by other Admins & Newsposters. We decided to give it a shot. So far the response has been mixed. I've been sent a lot IMs & PMs asking me to keep it up. While I think I was given some kind of death threat from somebody on MSN Messenger (interesting fellow) in Japanese. I could only read so much, but I think I got the idea. Hey like I said this is a shot and we'll see where it ends up.
