Add Internet Explorer to Windows Vista Desktop. Microsoft has removed the option to add Internet Explorer natively to Visa’s desktop. That’s why we created FxDeskie, to allow you to add the Internet Explorer icon on Vista’s Desktop.

We have updated FxDeskie to version 1.2 and now you don’t need to logoff and log back in for changes to take effect. FxDeskie 1.2 is more efficient and simple to use.

I just dont see the point.... drag the one off the start menu...

Hi I can't disagree with you, since this is a matter of preference and it's kinda hard to argue with people's preferences. The truth is... It's better to have the option to add it nativaly or just drap and drop a shortcut on the desktop than not have options at all.

Do you have anyway of removing the hidden desktop.ini files that appear when you have hidden files and folders turned on? I like to leave mine on, but these icons always appear and reappear after I delete them.

0_0 thats a settings file for the folder you can keep on deleting it all you want but it will restore itself ;p
Maybe theres an app that hides specific files you want? Googles your friend. Don't know why you like to show hidden files and folders but whatever floats your boat.

This is a very useful tool. I was quite disappointed when Microsoft chose to eliminate the native IE icon from the desktop, as I like to be able to right-click on it and go straight into my Internet Options. Thanks for the great tool, FxGP.

I guess its usefull if you didn't know or your just too damn lazy to go to the IE program folder and right click the ie application and hit send to desktop.

Or some people (like myself) do not like to see the ugly shortcut icon on there.
I would much rather see it without the shortcut icon.

There are other ways of removing the shortcut icons.

Yes but with this I think you can right click and go >internet properties. With a shortcut you get squat.
