This is a beta version (See @ MozBackup forum).
Changelog:
- Fix: Some Windows Vista related bugs.
- Fix: Password handling in FF 2.0.0.2/1.5.0.10.

Hmm, .pad file says about 1.4.6, so maybe it is final. But why there's no info on the main page and forum then?

What's the point of this? Doing it yourself is much cleaner and simple as hell anyways.
