SolveigMM AVI Trimmer if freeware AVI cutting software. This tool allows users to cut out any number of AVI fragments in one pass e.g. for commercials removing. No video quality degradation. No out of sync problems. No encoding/decoding.

Features:
  • Based on SolveigMM Video Editing Engine more info
  • Supports any video content - DV, XviD, DivX, 3ivX, MPEG-4, etc.
  • Supports any audio content - MPEG-1,2 Layer I, II, III; AC3, etc
  • Allows trimming AVI files contained VBR audio without synchronization loss
  • Supports AVI files of the size more then 2 and 4 GB
  • Supports the OpenDML AVI file format extension
  • Supports the native DV AVI format (both Type 1 and Type 2 in Microsoft terms)
  • Performs the trimming process starting with K frame
  • Cutting off several portions of a movie at one time is allowed. You can get rid of all commercials in your movie in a couple of simple steps.
Changelog:
  • Drug and drop added
  • Current time editable box added
  • Copy/Past features added to “Start time”, “Stop Time”, “Current time” edits boxes
  • Mouse wheel video navigation added
  • Dynamic audio/video stream change. Now during playback you can switch off/on video/audio streams
  • Trim overlapped intervals feature added.
  • Help file (.chm) added and is called by F1
  • Slider cursor increased for usability
  • Now if you push Trim button and din not specify out file, “Save as” dialog arises
  • Now if you push Trim button and have a selected fragment that you forgot to add to “Video Fragments” list, it will be added automatically
  • Problem with the installed DivX Demux (DivXMedia.a with AVI support fixed. Previous version sometimes could not open AVI file if DIVX codec pack was installed.
  • Problem with the installed AviSplitter.ax (guliveriki project) fixed. Previous version returned "Input file has not been set properly or damaged (The parameter is incorrect. hr = 0x80070057)" error.
  • Problem with error “The sample start time is after sample end time” fixed.

Sounds useful! Now all I need is a program that will help me resync the audio on an mkv file...

Right off the bat it says it can't open any of my AVI files. They open and play fine in all my other software. Too little time to be dealing with anymore like this.

We updated the installation on our websiter please ty new version.

Ok, it seems to be working great. My apologies for the crude remarks and I retracted my remarks where I could above. I can only say that I spent an entire day trying various software that would give me nothing but obscure errors. What I said was said out of frustration only.
