AVG is hands-down the best free AV I have used. It compares pretty damn well to the paid (pro) ones too.


I am really interested in the user who "don't use an av on my vista laptop."

Do you also have unprotected sex and not wear your safety belt?

Use Avast. I did a side by side test with AVG and Avast. I downloaded a trojan and AVG never scanned it till I tried to open it. Once the download was done Avast kicked in with sirens and warnings about a virus.

Damn good test. One Trojan.That statisticly means that Avast is 100% better then AVG :-) Nice job

Thanks for the update. I like using AVG because it's light on resources and does a decent job, I already have Windows Defender and some common sense so I don't open anything from people I don't know.
