SUMo stands for Software Update Monitor. Thanks to SUMo you'll be able to keep your PC up-to-date by using the most recent version of your favorite software ! Unlike build-in auto update features, SUMo tells you if updates are available before you need to use your software.

Crap ? I'm the developper of this freeware.

If you have found bugs or have any suggestions, contact me please !

I like it, it's more reliable than UpdateStar and mostly all other automated updaters.

Too bad the update links don't work, so this software is useless.
#4.1 th3rEsa on 28 Oct 2007 - 18:06
Well... it should be enough to know that there is a new version. You should actually be able to find out where to get it yourself?
#4.2 +xiphi on 28 Oct 2007 - 18:44
Wouldn't that defeat the whole idea of this software?
#4.3 th3rEsa on 28 Oct 2007 - 19:21
No. It's called "update monitor", so it monitors your programs for updates. Nothing more. Right?
#4.4 +xiphi on 28 Oct 2007 - 19:25
Then my original thought stands: this software is useless.

Update links work perfectly.

What's your problem ? please be more precise

"Waiting for kcsofts.dyndns.org..." it stays there for ages. Also, it's detecting Microsoft software when I don't have it checked in the options.

Kyle_Katarn

Is it possible to have the program automatically scan for INSTALLED programs (not just All EXE's in a specified directory) ?

Different people have different needs. Not everyone wants a program to update their software for them. Some people just want a heads-up when new versions are released, so they can check them out. Other people like to install software themselves to make sure the right options are selected, etc.

Please don't bitch and flame someone else's project, especially freeware developers who aren't asking for anything in return. Many people appreciate the efforts of these developers, even if they don't use the software themselves.

In summary: Please don't be a prick.
