Comodo claim that their firewall is unique in that it passes all known leak tests to ensure the integrity of data entering and exiting your system. Comodo has put firewall through all kinds of sophisticated tests to ensure its firewall powerful enough to ward off these attacks with default settings. No other firewall has had to work this hard.

Firewall component is excellent, not so much the antivirus and the defense plus is just annoying as hell.

After a few days of usage, the questions kind of cease. It preemptive actually.

Exactly. After a week the only pop-ups you will get will be when you install new programs, use something you haven't run since installing, or have a nice trojan trying to mess up your system.

Alternatively, if you can't handle the pop-ups, you can choose a quieter mode or turn off D+ altogether.

Yes, D+ is quite good. I like it for the preemptive strike.

only problem is with Windowblinds. Everytime an unknown app launches
D+ popsup a dwmapi.dll warning because of the WB hook.
Can't turn it off.

Do remember to uncheck any toolbars offered they're not needed for safety.

It looks like they've finally got the DPC latency issue under control too.

I used to use Comodo products long ago. I quit using them when several versions back to back would randomly decide to ignore the settings and revert back to defaults. This includes autoupdating the app itself, and ignoring my whitelists.

I installed just the firewall on my parent's computer once and turned off autoupdating of the app itself, not the definitions because my parents would freak out when something popped up, so I had to compromise.

Anyway, in less than a month it went back to default settings and updated itself to the full internet security suite.

Because of these serious flaws, I'll never use Comodo products again, nor recommend them to anyone.
