After a surprisingly complicated gestation, Microsoft finally rolled out its latest Windows 10 Mobile preview, build 10536.1004, to the Fast ring last week - the first update for Insiders testing the smartphone OS for over a month.
Insider Preview build 10536 brings a wide range of improvements, and some small but welcome additions - but of course, it also has its share of known issues, including one problem specific to the mighty 41-megapixel Lumia 1020.
With the launch of Windows 10 Mobile now just weeks away, Microsoft is continuing to put the finishing touches on the OS, with new builds in development. Today, Microsoft's Gabe Aul responded to an enquiry on Twitter, which asked about the build number of the next Windows 10 Mobile release:
While he didn't definitively state that 10547 will be the next build released to Windows Insiders, his response appears to suggest that it's a likely candidate.
However, your guess is as good as ours when it comes to establishing when the next build will be released. Microsoft has previously explained why it can take so long to roll out new Mobile builds, and as we saw last week, even carefully-laid plans can fall apart at the last minute.
