Would you like to get a free copy of a long awaited Xbox 360 fantasy RPG game? Then game developer CD Projekt Red has a deal for you. The company has announced it is looking for anyone to review the Xbox 360 version of their hit 2011 PC game The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings and is willing to give out a whopping 1,000 free copies of the game to those reviewers.
CD Projekt Red have set up a website so that anyone who wants to review The Witcher 2 for the Xbox 360 can apply to get one of the 1,000 free copies. You apparently have to have at least some previous reviews of games posted on a website already in order to be eligible but since anyone can quickly post up a blog site and write down something that resembles a review, that should be pretty easy. We have already applied to see if we can get a free copy.
The application time period ends on Monday and the 1,000 people who are picked to receive the review copy will be notified by April 12th.
In related news, PC owners who have bought The Witcher 2 will be able to download 95 percent of the free 10 GB patch to turn it into the Enhanced Edition of the game starting on April 11th. The final five percent will be available to download on April 17th. Also, those same PC owners will be able to access a permanent DRM-free back up copy of the game via GoG.com on that same day, no matter where it was bought.
Finally, a Mac version of the first PC Witcher game has now been released via Steam for $9.99. PC owners of the game can get it free.
