2K Sports to offer 1 million dollars for pitching a perfect game in MLB 2K10

Play a video game, win money. That is the ultimate dream for gamers, and 2K Sports looks to make it a reality.

2K sports have announced that they are saying that they will offer one million dollars to the first player who can pitch a perfect game in Major League Baseball 2K10.

Jason Argent, Vice President of 2K Sports says, “You don’t see too many perfect games thrown in MLB 2K, but we’ve seen it happen. Our goal is to celebrate and highlight Major League Baseball 2K10’s superior pitching and hitting mechanics this season, while also giving one of our loyal fans the thrilling opportunity to be rewarded with a lot of money.”

The contest is going to be run between March and May of this year and this feat will only count on the PS3 and 360 versions of the game.

How will it be verified? Entries must be recorded via camera or digital video recorder and be sent to 2K sports via DVD ONLY. They will then be verified by Twin Galaxies International, the worldwide authority on video game world records, and provider of scores to Guinness World Records that are published in the Guinness World Records: Gamer’s Edition.

This is surely a unique way to advertise a game, and we will have to see whether this million-dollar gamble by 2K sports will pay off.
