Microsoft Corp. is giving away 2 million DVDs in Europe, featuring a film showing teens indulging in sports and pastimes such as biking and skateboard. The DVD offers an interactive tour where viewers click on the different icons to be directed to Xbox functions, WJS said.
"The nature of DVDs provided us with a much richer canvas to paint that picture," Harvey Eagle, who heads brand advertising for Xbox Europe, told the newspaper. "TV is not really the best medium because it"s passive."
