With Windows 8 users are finally able to customize their lock screens out of the box, rather than having to use a program or registry tweak to achieve the same results in earlier versions of Windows.
The RTM version of Windows already includes examples of some great looking wallpapers, but you aren"t stuck with those like you are with the Start Screen patterns, you can also browse to any folder and select your own image to display in the lock screen.
The only thing missing from this feature, is the ability to to select multiple wallpapers that switch with timed intervals, which we think would be great to have. Maybe someone will come up with a program or tweak that does just that.
