Earlier this month, Gigabyte launched its X570S lineup of motherboards. For those unaware, "X570S" is a revision of AMD"s flagship X570 chipset, where the "S" likely stands for "silent" as the new chipset is fanless, unlike the previous X570, which were actively cooled.
The boards launched so far in its X570S line are ATX variants and according to a new report from VideoCardz, there"s also a new mini-ITX version coming from the company. The model is reportedly named X570S I AORUS PRO AX (images below) and it appears to be a revision of the X570 I AORUS PRO WIFI mini-ITX model. As is the convention with mini-ITX, the new board should be 17cm both in length and width.
Gigabyte puts the "I" in the model names following the chipset number to indicate the mini-ITX form factor. Therefore, the models without the presence of the letter "I" in the names mean they are ATX versions.
Talking about the ATX variants, Gigabyte has so far launched five of these. They are:
The new mini-ITX X570S I AORUS PRO AX is said to feature dual HDMI 2.0 ports and a single DisplayPort 1.2 when it comes to display outputs. It should be compatible with all Ryzen 2000 series processors and newer, and this includes APUs as well.
While it isn"t confirmed, VideoCardz expects the new mini-ITX model to be formally announced by Gigabyte very soon, perhaps even as early as next week.
