Details have begun emerging of Samsung’s upcoming devices for a possible August launch, including the Galaxy Note20, Fold2, and a more affordable Fold Lite. Now, a certification document from China has provided information on possible versions of a new Galaxy Watch device.
The devices passed through the Compulsory Certification of China (3C) bearing model numbers SM-R840 and SM-R850. The devices are likely successors to last year’s Watch Active2, with each model representing the two sizes that the smartwatch will be made available in. However, as is the case with such documents, not many details are present in the certification document image reported by SamMobile.
As for what is known in terms of specs, the South Korean giant’s offering will likely come with up to 8GB of internal storage, which is twice as much as what was offered in the Watch Active2. Rumors suggest that the device may also be offered with a Titanium option akin to the one offered in the Apple Watch Series 5.
Samsung is expected to host a digital event for the launch of the Note20 series sometime in August. While a certification might point to an imminent launch in the near future, it will be interesting to see what products the company unveils through the digital Unpacked event.
