It was only a couple of years ago when having two cameras on the rear of a phone was considered out of the norm. Nowadays, dual rear cameras seems like a prerequisite when it comes to building a phone for 2018, with some companies taking things a step further by offering three cameras on its devices. While having three sensors is quite rare, it looks like Samsung isn"t content with being in the upper echelon and will instead break the barrier soon with its unannounced Galaxy A9, featuring four camera sensors on its rear.
There have been whispers online about the Galaxy A9 and its four cameras for quite some time, but it now looks like we are getting something a bit more credible, as a render of the phone has been revealed by known other than Evan Blass. While Blass is not an official ambassador for Samsung, he has on many accounts shared information or images of unreleased devices, coming from official channels.
As you can see from the newly leaked image, there will be an 8MP 120-degree ultra wide-angle camera, a 10MP telephoto camera, a 24MP standard camera, and a 5MP camera for sensing depth. Samsung will reportedly reveal the phone at its Unpacked event set for today.
