Acer announces Iconia Tab 10 and One 10 tablets for 'premium multimedia experiences'

Acer has been announcing quite a few devices lately. Last month, it showed off its Windows 10 gaming laptops, monitors, convertibles, and mixed reality headsets. More recently, it also unveiled a $1,099 curved 35-inch monitor, Nitro 5 gaming laptop, and a new Spin 1 convertible.

Now, it has taken the wraps off its latest series of 10-inch Android tablets, targeting entertainment-oriented consumers.

Acer has announced the 10.1-inch Iconia Tab 10 (A3-A50) and Iconia One 10 (B3-A40FHD), with emphasis on providing "premium multimedia experiences". Both the tablets are powered by quad-core MediaTek processors and come with Android 7.0 Nougat. The company also promises up to 8 hours of battery life and IPS displays with wide viewing angles.

The Iconia Tab 10 features a display with Quantum Dot technology. However, Android Police points out that this is actually a pseudo-quantum dot display, as it "uses a QD film on its backpanel, which should result in a slightly better color gamut, but isn"t a radical improvement over existing tablet and phone displays".

On the other hand, the Iconia One 10 features dual micro USB ports - one of which has OTG support. The company has offered premium sound quality with DTS-HD Premium Sound in both the devices.

Acer hasn"t yet revealed additional specifications, or pricing and availability details.
