Acer announces new TravelMate P2 and P6 business laptops

Acer announced a couple of new business laptops today from its TravelMate brand, including the P2 and the P6. Both PCs include 10th-gen Intel processors and comply with MIL-STD-810G standards.

The TravelMate P2 is the more mainstream of the two. It includes connectivity features like Wi-Fi 6 and 4G LTE via a nano-SIM or an eSIM, and Acer is also promising up to 13 hours of battery life. For security, there"s an IR camera for Windows Hello, a privacy guard for the webcam, and of course, Acer ProShield, which is the security suite in the company"s business laptops.

The TravelMate P6 weighs in at only 2.4 pounds, as it"s made out of a magnesium-aluminum alloy, and it"s just 0.6 inches thick. This one offers up to 23 hours of batter life, along with fast charging that will get you to 50% in 45 minutes. It"s developed under Intel"s Project Athena plan, which pretty much means that it"s meant to be a modern device with instant wake, connectivity (Wi-Fi 6 and optional 4G LTE), and more.

Along with 10th-gen processors, both of these machines offer a dedicated graphics, with an Nvidia Geforce MX230 in the P2 and an MX250 in the P6.

The Acer TravelMate P2 will arrive in North America in February starting at $699.99, in EMEA in January starting at €599, and in China in January starting at ¥44.99. The TravelMate P6 will be available in North America in February starting at $1,149.99, EMEA in February starting at €1,099, and in China in January starting at ¥9,999.
