Acer announces support for AMD's Zen2 CPUs and Radeon RX 5700 GPUs

After AMD announced some new gaming components today, Acer announced refreshed desktop PCs that use the new chips. The refreshed gaming computers include the Predator Orion 3000 and the Nitro 50.

Both of them will now be offered with AMD"s third-generation Ryzen CPUs, which are built on the Zen2 architecture. On the graphics side of things, they"ll come with the Radeon RX 5700 family of GPUs, which are built on the new RDNA architecture.

Acer boasted that the Predator Orion 3000 - the entry-level PC for the high-end Predator Orion family - supports gaming in 4K and has "excellent feat dissipation". It has an intake LED fan on the front and rear exhaust for better airflow through the body of the PC.

The Nitro 50 has a wireless charging pad on it, meaning that you can charge your phone or any other Qi-enabled device. It has a Realtek Dragon LAN, which Acer says should provide you with optimized networking speed.

Acer didn"t announce pricing or availability for the new PCs, but AMD said that the new GPUs are coming in July, so it should be pretty soon.
