Reporting from a Massive Inc. upfront, the MTV Multiplayer blog has revealed that Activision Blizzard have just announced sequels to their biggest franchises. The event is designed to get advertisers interested in their game, and is already very popular in the film and TV industry. So far, all that"s known about "Guitar Hero 5" is the name, but Activision have teasingly stated that the new Tony Hawk game arriving this October will "not...be play[ed] this game with a controller in your hands". The switched-on gamer will most likely jump to the conclusion that it will be exclusive to the Wii Balance Board, but it turns out that the game is still coming to PS3, Xbox 360, Wii and DS.
Activision"s only other announcement was on the existence of "Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2", which is likely to please fans of the fourth iteration who were bitterly disappointed with "World at War". Finally, Bizarre Creations have announced they are working on a new James Bond game, unrelated to the storyline of the films and completely original. A new racing game is also expected (with future Project Gotham instalments looking unlikely) which has been described as "Mario Kart meets Forza".
